Cotswold stone, a wood-burning fire, comfy beds and en-suite bathrooms, in a dog friendly holiday cottage dating back to the 17th Century.

A TWO-BEDROOM COTTAGE
IN THE BEAUTIFUL COTSWOLDS
UP THE WOODEN STAIRCASE
Upstairs there's a master bedroom with zip linked super-kingsize bed (or 2 singles with prior notice), a small single sofa bed, plus extra room for a travel cot.
You'll find a double wardrobe and ensuite bathroom with electric shower and heated towel rail. This beautiful room is surrounded by exposed Cotswold stone, overlooking a quiet street in the heart of the village.
The other side of Milestones, there's a twin room with 2 single beds and an en suite bathroom (with bath), which overlooks the garden and down the valley.
IN FRONT OF THE LOG BURNER
In the lounge you'll put your feet up in front of a large inglenook fireplace fitted with log burning stove, supplied with wood for your stay.
A perfect spot to relax after walking the dog to the village pub The Red Lion.
There's comfortable seating for 5, and you'll feel at home with WIFI, TV, games and films.
AROUND THE DINING TABLE
In the kitchen you'll be well equipped to feed your group with an electric cooker, large fridge freezer, and a dining table to seat 5.
Just outside you can enjoy a BBQ in your private enclosed garden space catching the evening sun. The garden area is dog-proof, unless your four legged friend can climb walls, dig tunnels, or jump 5-bar gates.
Just inside the back door is a utility room with washing machine, drying space and large Belfast sink adjacent to a cloakroom and toilet.
OUT IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
Nestled within the Cotswold Hills, the cottage has an excellent location in the heart of Long Compton Village.
The village shop and the award-winning Red Lion pub are both accessible within a few minutes walk. Beautiful villages such as Moreton in Marsh, Chipping Norton and Bourton on the Water are a short drive away, as well as the well regarded Soho Farmhouse.
The cottage is perfect for dogs too, with easy access to lots of beautiful walks, water bowls and dog-friendly pubs. This is why we think The Cotswolds is one of the best dog friendly holiday destinations there could be!

Our rates vary depending on the length of your stay and the time of year. Here's a guide to our rates from 2022 but please check our availability and get in touch for a more accurate quote:

Minimum stays are 3 weekend nights (commencing Friday), 4 weekday nights (commencing Monday), and 7 nights over Christmas and New Year.
There is a £10 per night charge for the use of the additional sofa bed. One-week rates are from Friday or Monday.
PETS
Milestones is completely dog friendly, and a fantastic place for a dog walking holiday!
There is an additional charge of £20 per dog for your stay and we would usually say that two dogs maximum are a comfortable fit. The enclosed garden is dog-proof for all but the most talented escape artists and diggers!

WHAT TO DO
Milestones is within close proximity to a wealth of sites and activities to entertain everyone. From discovering the ancient Cotswold villages of Bourton-on-the-Water and Chipping Norton, walking the scenic hills and valleys all around, heading into Oxford to experience a Harry Potter tour, or playing one of the 15+ golf courses within 45 minutes drive.

ACCESS
There is off-road parking for at least 2 cars, with more space available on request. Unfortunately, due to the age of the property and its unique doors, it is not wheelchair accessible or step free.
ON ARRIVAL
On your arrival there will be some biscuits, tea, coffee, milk and sugar for you to settle in. If you're bringing dogs with you then there will be a treat for them too.
Check in is from 3pm and check out pre 10am.
Please get in touch if you need to arrange a late check out.
